PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This comprehensive one-day CME-CE hands-on training and certification workshop, will prepare you to safely administer sclerotherapy still considered the “gold standard” for the treatment of Telangiectasia and reticular veins. Morning didactic lecture will address related anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology pertaining to the lower extremities as well as facial telangiectasias. The presentation will include basic theories of treating cosmetic visual telangiectasias and reticular veins, identification of the different types of veins, treatment considerations, injections techniques, sclerosing agents currently being used, and the use of lasers in vein therapy. Importance will be placed on safety, avoiding potential complications/adverse events and management thereof. The presentation will include the consultation process and patient education to ensure compliance and positive patient outcome. Live demonstration explaining the technique and one-on-one injection guidance will bolster your knowledge to ultimately prepare you for the afternoon hands-on practice session supervised by our “expert” instructors. During the Q & A session you will gain valuable insight and pearls on the “how to” of this unique business model for optimal success. Each attendee will receive a course manual, PP slide deck, a CD loaded with supporting forms and templates of practice documents such as consents, standardized procedure and protocol policies, purchasing sources, and more. A certification of hands-on training will be provided upon completion of the course (mailed within 2 weeks).
Workshop Criteria: Although we will be providing models, we encourage attendees to bring model (s). You will also have the opportunity to serve as a model during the practicum. If you will be bringing models please speak to an ESI representative regarding model eligibility criteria.
