Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians (Physicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Practical Nurses, Physician Assistants, Estheticians, interested Dentists, and Medical Assistants by special arrangement) involved in the care of patients seeking aesthetic enhancement procedures.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This two-day hands-on training workshop will focus on pertinent anatomy and physiology of the skin, assessment, evaluation, and classification of different skin types using the Fitzpatrick Model. We will explore factors affecting skin health and rejuvenation pathways, as well as will be conducting a comprehensive client history, effective skin analysis, and developing an individualized plan of treatment for aged, acne, rosacea, and pigmented skin. The presentation will include contraindications and side effects of chemical peeling, and management of adverse events. We will explore different types of chemical peeling agents (Glycolic, Lactic, MFA’s, Salicylic, TCA, Vitamin A Acid, Jessner), their characteristics and differences. You will learn various application techniques for chemical peeling and micro-dermabrasion through practical hands-on sessions. In addition, we will present Dermaplaning, Hydrafacial, and Micro-needling all tools for skin rejuvenation. Live demonstrations explaining the procedures and techniques will bolster your knowledge to prepare you for the hands-on practice sessions supervised by our expert instructors. A course specific, “How To” business model overview will be presented about the importance of retail sales, price structuring, market trends, effective marketing, development and retention of a client base. Attendees will receive a course manual, PP slide deck, CD loaded with practice documents such as consents, standardized procedure and protocol policies, purchasing sources and more. A Certification of Training upon completion will be provided (please allow 2 weeks).

This educational activity is designated as a AMA Category II offering for Physicians and Physician Assistants.
PHYSICIAN & PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CONTINUING EDUCATION
Note-This course is not approved for CME Cat. 1, however, this course is designed with optimal criteria which may be eligible for CME Category II credits which are self-submitted by the practitioner to their Respective State Board. Physicians & PA’s should only submit and claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via mail or fax transmission. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation.
A refund will be given, less a $200.00 processing fee, if canceled at least 14 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellations after this time will not qualify for a refund but may be used toward a future workshop with the approval of the administrative department of ESI.
Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course and we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is canceled or postponed, the registration fee will be refunded in full. Please note, ESI is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary airline changes.
