How To Export Contact List From Act! 2000? (KB10000167)

The instructions shown below are for exporting from ACT! 2000. If the steps provided do not match the version you are using, please refer to the Help menu that is provided with ACT!

1.From the main menu in ACT!, click File, Data Exchange, and then select Export. The Export wizard opens.

2.In the File type field, select Text - Delimited.

3.For the File name and location, name the export file with a .CSV extension. For example, the file name and location may be similar to, C:\Act\Database\Export.csv.

4.Click Next.

5.Since it is assumed that you are importing the name and address details of the contact records stored in the ACT! Database, select Contact records only, and then click Options.

6.Complete the following:

a. Select the Comma option button in the Select field separator section.
b. Select the Yes, export field names check box in the Do you want to export field names section. c. Click OK to return to the wizard.

7.Click Next.

8. Select All records and click Finish.

NOTE: Do NOT click Next at this step, since doing so will open the ACT field mapping options.
